Robbie Ure latest goals
Robbie Ure’s 1st goal since we last wrote about him, came in a 3-2 away win at Swedish big guns, Malmö. Specifically, his header from 2 yards put his team 3-1 up in what was a tremendous result for the Uppsala upstarts. Consequently, 4 league wins from 4 maintained the only 100% record in Sweden’s top flight this season.
Also, Ure’s latest game was yesterday, this time was away to Häcken. Häcken were 2-0 up before Ure started the comeback in the 40th minute. Capitalising on a defensive header ricocheting off another defender. Ure buried his chance with one touch, as the ball dropped for a straightforward volley inside the 6 yard box. Subsequently, the game ended 2-2, ending Sirius 100% league record this season. They remain top though after 5 games with 13 points. Malmö are 3rd and Häcken 4th.

Should Steve Clarke take note of Robbie Ure?
Yes he should. It’s still early in the season in Sweden. While the Swedish top tier is considerably stronger than the equivalent Scots division, there are Scots forwards playing in stronger divisions than Ure. However, Ure is continuing his prolific start to the season. Steve Clarke is no doubt aware. Let’s see how Ure does in the remaining few weeks before Clarke announces his World Cup squad. Will Ure do enough to merit a wildcard selection? And if he does maintain this strike rate, transfer to a much richer club will follow soon.
